Like many Canadians, I love me a good cup of coffee. Not Tim Hortons or even Starbucks. I mean those indie cafés that play smooth jazz and patrons sporting hipster moustaches. I found two recently that I absolutely adore.
This first being Dineen Coffee Co. Not only do they play smooth jazz with patrons sporting intricatly trimmed facial hair, but the baristas were decked out in dress shirts and vests. VESTS! The customer service was exemplary; the latte art was a nice little touch too.
My Mocha made with love!
The second- and I must say my absolute favourite of the two- being Caffè Artigiano. Wooden tables and plush leather seats will gain you points every time! Another place with exemplary customer service but a wider variety of caffinated, authentically Italian beverages. I couldn’t help but notice that smooth jazz was NOT the playlist of the day but a little Mumford & Sons.
Regrettably, I couldn’t eat any of the delicious looking pastries because of my allergy (DAMN YOU PEANUTS!) but judging from the sighs of pleasure coming from the table adjacent from me, I’d say they were about as good as my latte (which was heavenly)
My little piece of heaven: Spanish Latte
